Filipina Junulara Renkontiĝo (FAJRO) 2024

FAJRO 2024 will be held under the theme "Reigniting Esperanto in the Philippines." 

Part of the program will be dedicated towards exploring different ways to boost and expand the Esperanto community in the country, especially after having been limited by the COVID-19 pandemic and other internal and external factors. We'll discuss innovative but realistic strategies to make it easier for Filipinos to discover and learn Esperanto as well as engage in the global youth community.

(Fun fact: Did you know that "fajro" means "fire" in Esperanto?)

During FAJRO 2024, experience, interact, and learn as you participate in different activities organized by members of the local Esperanto youth community. We offer you a set of lectures, workshops, and games, where you can win exciting (and practical) prizes!

We're also proud to give the floor to a cultural performance by Jubert Cabrezos, our local Esperanto poet, as he reads some of his works in Esperanto.  

Excelspace

FAJRO 2024 will be held in Excelspace, a co-working space and café located in the northeastern part of Quezon City. Not only it is clean, comfortable, and airconditioned, but participants will also have access to unlimited drinks and snacks, fast internet connection,  power outlets, and many other amenities! The main working language of the event is Esperanto, although it is open to everyone regardless of their level in the language. We recognize that not all participants don't speak Esperanto well yet, so "krokodilado" will be allowed and Filipino and English can be used at any moment.

The event is open to individuals of all ages who speak or learn Esperanto. Seats are limited and participants will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our members in 2024 are entitled to a ₱100 discount, so we highly encourage you to become a member to avail of this discount (as well as other perks and privileges for members). 

Fixed registration fees are as follows:

Regular Rate (Members) - ₱ 400.00

Student Rate* (Members) - ₱ 350.00

Regular Rate (All Non-Members) -  ₱ 500.00

Foreign (Non-Residents) - ₱ 630.00 / € 10.00

Your registration fee includes access to the event, the event kit, unlimited drinks and snacks, and lunch. It is non-refundable but transferable. 

*Discount applies to individuals doing undergraduate studies or lower. Present a valid school ID to the registration desk upon arrival.
